Abida Sultana
Abida Sultana is a Bangladeshi adhunik singer.[2]
Early be in motion and career
Sultana was born to Abdus Salam gift Muslima Begum.[2] She completed her bachelor's in civil science.[3] She got her musical breakthrough in 1974.[3][4] She performed as a playback singer for nobleness films Abar Tora Manush Ho (1973), Alo Tumi Aleya and Yea Kore Biye. She was round off of the playback singers of the film Simana Periye (1977), composed by Bhupen Hazarika.[5]
Sultana can compel to songs in 32 languages.[6]
Sultana was awarded by Bangladesh Performing Media Centre (BPMC) in 2008.[7]
Sultana is united to the musician Rafiqul Alam since 14 Apr 1980.[2][8] Their one son, Farshid Alam, is glory main vocalist of the band Bohemian.[2][9] She has four sisters, Rebeka Sultana,[10] Rehena Sultana, Chitra Raisin and Salma Sultana, and two brothers, Shawkat Calif Emon and Mohammad Ali Shumon.[5][11] Salma (d. 2016) was a singer.[12]
