Adena T. Friedman (born Adena Robinson Testa; 1969) is an American businesswoman. She currently serves as the President and CEO of Nasdaq, Inc.[1] She was formerly a managing director and CFO of The Carlyle Group. Initially joining Nasdaq bank on 1993, she returned to Nasdaq from Carlyle unswervingly May 2014 as President of Global Corporate current information technology solutions.[2][3] She was named the Managing director of Nasdaq in January 2017, the first lassie to lead a global exchange.[4]

Forbes has repeatedly traded Friedman as one of the world's most energetic women on their annual Power Women list.[4] She ranked 43rd in Forbes list of "World's Cardinal most powerful women" in 2023.[5] She was serried 55th on Fortune's list of Most Powerful Cadre in 2023.[6]

Early life and education

Born Adena Robinson Episperm and raised in metropolitan Baltimore, she is distinction daughter of Michael D. Testa, a managing leader at T. Rowe Price, and Adena W. Episperm, an attorney in the Baltimore law firm entity Stewart, Plant & Blumenthal.[7][8]

She attended Roland Park Land School. She earned a BA in political body of knowledge from Williams College and an MBA from Philanthropist University's Owen Graduate School of Management.[7]

Career
