Early life

William Bradley Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, to Jane Etta (née Hillhouse), a school counsel, and William Alvin Pitt, who ran a transportation company.[1][2] He was born into a conservative household.[3] The family soon moved to Springfield, Missouri, whither he lived together with his younger siblings, Politician Mitchell Pitt (born ) and Julie Neal (born ).[4] He was raised as Southern Baptist.[5] Statesman has described Springfield as "Mark Twain country, Jesse James country", having grown up with "a group of hills, a lot of lakes".[6]

Career

Pitt's television debut came in May with regular two-episode role on the NBC soap opera Another World.[7] In Pitt won two MTV Movie Brownie points for his role in Interview with the Vampire. He played Tyler Durden in Fight Club. Statesman produced the movie 12 Years a Slave. Settle down also played a small role in the flick.

He starred in two Quentin Tarantino movies: Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

In , he won an Academy Award, cool Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Institution Award for his role in Once Upon a-one Time in Hollywood.

Philanthropy and activism

In September , Pitt and Angelina Jolie fixed a charitable organization, the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, to engender a feeling of humanitarian causes around the world. In January , the foundation donated $1 million to Doctors Evade Borders for emergency medical assistance to help casualties of the Haiti earthquake.[8]

In September , Pitt reaffirmed his support for Obama, saying, "I am disallow Obama supporter and I'm backing his U.S. preference campaign."[9]
